Not the actual car pictured but same color. Had Mass. plates and looked to be a 20-something-ish dude driving. I have no idea how rare these are but I can't recall the last time I've seen one.
Oh, and this was on I-90 heading west from Boston.

So it was basically headed the right way? (Towards NY)

Well, it wasn't headed the other way, back into the ocean to Germany, so, yes :-)

Nope, same goldish/bronze color as the one in the picture. I wanted to snap a pic or even wave but I was in 4 lanes of commuter traffic at varying speeds.

Ah so you were going West while it was going east...

I'm not sure I've ever seen one of these in MA before, now that I think about it...

I can't recall either. They do fly under the radar pretty well though, not like an older Merc with a small spoiler/bodykit really stands out nowadays. I probably wouldn't have noticed it had I not rolled up on it from it's right side and immediately saw the "2.3-16" badge.
Also, there were small AMG badges on the front fenders, aft of the wheel well, but I'm guessing someone put those on at some late point. It's wrong, but I get the idea, it being an AMG type car AMG didn't build.
